MySpace
(Review)

MySpace is a still growing international website where teenagers and adults can post profiles, blogs, pics, music, and videos! It’s the great way to interact with friends and meet new people! Yet totally safe. MySpace was invented by Tom Anderson. In 2006 MySpace was the most popular networking site in the U.S. Until MySpace’s main competitor Facebook went international based on the number of visitors.
I think MySpace is really fun! I can e-mail people (and most of the people that I e-mail respond to there MySpace account more or before they respond to other accounts on Yahoo or Comcast). Its nice being able to design your own layout, who your friends are, everything to what you want people to know about you or who can see your profile. There are many ways to make your personal info a secret to anybody who’s not one of your friends on MySpace. Or if you want anybody who wants to see your profile see your profile you can do that too! MySpace is also a great way for businesses to keep in contact with other employees when there on a business trip or out sick! But why get grownups involved? MySpace is definitely a teen’s world! For those of you who don’t have a MySpace you should get one. For those of you who are scared it’s not safe it’s only as unsafe as you want it to be. Try MySpace now!
My opinion I love MySpace my friends have FaceBooks and twitters and I don’t think there nearly as fun as MySpace. Even though they have the same idea as to being able to post pictures, music, videos and more! I like being able to design and control my own space. MySpace has been around longer and perfected every little thing.

Protest against the gross fest!!!
Protest against the gross fest!!!
By: Samantha Swanson
Well everybody knows the construction is crazy and it has been a major problem. But no matter how many people write articles in the newspaper or speak up about it nothings been done!!! Until recently on 4/28/09 Mrs. Donahue toke matters into her own hands, she scheduled a protest for the 7th grade on May 1st 09. She told everybody to wear surgical masks and in 1st period we would sit in the lobby and protest!! Well as the week progressed and more people got excited until Dr. Hockin found out, who know maybe he over heard or Mrs. Donahue wanted to clear it by him. But he said that we can’t protest in the lobby. But that didn’t stop us from wearing the masks!! When Friday came just over half the seventh grade wore the mask (as seen in the picture below of Mrs. Donahue’s 3rd period Social Studies class). It was truly amazing and sad to see how many people truly hate the construction and know/seen how unsafe it is to be here! But Dr. Hockin and Mrs. Caputo were there confiscating masks from anybody wearing them. They were so set on making sure nobody had them that, they actually stood outside the auditorium taking anybody who had them. Nobody could escape it because we were heading to see the high school dance show. Only a couple of people went home with there masks!
It was really unfair to take the masks away; it’s unsafe to be in the building during all of this! Teachers have had to leave there classrooms because the gas from the construction has been so strong kids were having asthma attacks! Mr. Beams homeroom has been kicked out of there lockers and forced to move in with other people or carry book bags, because they found asbestos in the floor. So Along with Mr. Beam, Mr. Drake and Mr. Rigby’s homeroom are being evicted out of there lockers. As for the teachers they have to move there classrooms into closets, and have been told they will not get in again till next year. Along with the asbestos there rooms are being made smaller. But still these are not proper conditions to being going to school in! Loud nose, no ceilings, No windows, sludge falling from the ceilings, construction guys smoking in the hallway yes you heard me. So when all we want is to protest our side we aren’t aloud that! There is something seriously wrong with that!
